First of all, I've calmed down a bit. This is because an APAR has been
created for the problem. The problem has been seen by others and is
reproducible, so I look forward to a fix soon.

Also, as part of this process, I got to speak with a George Silber of the
Net.Data team. He was very responsive and explained the near future
directions for the product. I'm very keen on using it, and there are some
ways to get around some of the slowness for now.

Anyway, thanks for putting up with my rant. This really is a serious
problem but is being addressed.
