Booth,

   You are correct, in that you can just install an Ethernet Card (or
IPCS and use it as an Ethernet card), and attach that directly to your
network.  You don't need a server.  Then if you have PCs with Ethernet
cards, they can attach via Client Acces either 802.2 or IP.
