Date: 1/9/98 5:21 PM RE: Allowing users to do RCVNETF without granting authority to CMD RCVNETF Your solution will work fine. 'CL owned by QSECOFR and running as *OWNER' But I bet you took the default when changing owners which will revoke rights to *Public to USE THE PROGRAM ITSELF. Look at the aut. of the program see if *PUBLIC has *USE rights. We have a program which works the same 'Owned by QGOD, and runs as *OWNER' and it works fine. I also have a utility which logs every RCVNETF to have a histor of all of it. John Carr EdgeTech Hi Folks, We have an application that needs to let users do a RCVNETF. We have a CL that knows the file name and user that it is coming from and will execute the RCVNETF with that information. I tried changing the CL to *OWNER and then doing a change CHGOBJOWN to QSECOFR and I get error message CPF8070 Not allowed to process files for user "xxxxxxxxxx. where "xxxxxxxxxx" is a valid user name (the name of the profile that sent the file...). Any ideas ?
