Check out the two articles by Doug Pence and Ron Hawkins in recent issues of
Midrange Computing.  I think they were in the September time frame.  They
thoroughly explored all the pros and cons.  In my opinion it ranks as the only
common sense reporting I've seen on the subject.

I'll sit back now and let John Carr fill you in on his practical experiences in
this area.
