My first major job used a Series/1 for bi-sync communications to (get this)
3741s, 5285s, and System 34s since their brand new System 38 couldn't do 
bi-sync.
My second task (after the conversion from  System 34 and System 3) was to 
develop
a field app on a Tandy Model 3 and make it communicate with the Series/1. After 
a
couple of years I inherited the Series/1 and after getting rid of CF1 tried to
develop a BBS system in EDX.
