Then there is:
 math and comparisons 
 differing space to
         display
         print 
         store
         access

And you & staff  have to locate all of this
Fix it some way on  time ( whatever that might be)
Test it too
then deal  with outside MIS  and the outside your company issues

Research it -
 present it in  his terms, like a patient paper, in business terms. 
 Risks,Costs, efforts, returns He should understand that.
