First piece of advice - if your "boss" continues in this belief, sell all shares in the company and find a new employer! Second - check out the IBM Y2K web site at www.ibm.com/IBM/year2000. If you _really_ want to scare him, gather your evidence at Peter De Jager's web site www.year2000.com - he goes a little overboard, but perhaps that's what you need to tackle someone who's obviously in denial!! It's difficult to offer specific problem scenarios since you don't mention what industry you are in or if you are using package software, etc. But a few basics that apply to most industries include: Debtor ageing won't work - how it will fail depends on how it's coded, but it WILL fail; Any report sorted by date will be in the wrong sequence (at best); Any date calculations will be wrong (for example durations); Payroll calcs may well be wrong; Validation routines that accept the entry of dates will not accept that 00 comes after 99!
