They are not convinced that enough people want/need it. Use the Reader Comment form in the SQL manual to tell them they're wrong! Of course you can write your own equivalent to their command which would do a CRTSQLMOD followed by a CRTPGM . Also, if V4R2 is in your future, you'll be able to embed the option in the RPG source which should help.
