They're buying NT to be "positioned for the future."  IBM is doing a lousy
job of showing any managers a future with the mid-range machines.  We see
it, but the ones that go to the tradeshows and conventions in Las Vegas
every winter don't see a black box.  They see Thinkpad laptops running
Win95 and decide MS is the new king of the hill.  Strange, but they don't
even see the Thinkpad, just the flying window.
