We use two commands that were supplied to us by IBM, which use CPPs that are already on your system. The commands are GETSPLF (converts an outq to a database file, CPP QSPGETF), and PUTSPLF (converts the database file back to spool files, CPP QSPPUTF). These commands will work with IPDS spool files as well, which I don't believe the TAATOOLs do. If anyone would like the source for these commands, please respond via private e-mail. TIA << There are spool file APIs that you can use to save the entries complete with all atributes to user spaces or physical files, which can be saved. You can create new spool files from the user space data, which will be exact duplicates of the originals, but you must write some code. You can also use the CPYSPLF command to put the data in a physical file, but some of the attributes are lost, and it will only work with plain old text output. -- - Pete Hall peteh@earth.inwave.com http://www.inwave.com/~peteh/ +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to "MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com". | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MAJORDOMO@midrange.com | and specify 'unsubscribe MIDRANGE-L' in the body of your message. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +--- +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to "MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com". | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MAJORDOMO@midrange.com | and specify 'unsubscribe MIDRANGE-L' in the body of your message. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
