I'd be carefull with the "seldomly used files" part. They may only be used once a year, but are essential to that once a year process. I created a file that contains >all the files in the library and wrote a quick CL program to DSPFD (*mbr) to >an outfile. Not only does a restore clear the 'Last Used Date', but it also changes the 'Last Change Date' field to be equal to the restore date. :( >Is there a better way >to do this? Any help would be appreciated. Likely not. In the past I have done a DSPOBJD *ALLUSR/*ALL to an outfile and saved that outfile indefinetly for later reference. It's imperfect, but it does give you some information. hth, jte ************************************************* * John Earl johnearl@blarg.net * * 8514 71st NW Gig Harbor, WA 98335 * ************************************************* +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to "MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com". | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MAJORDOMO@midrange.com | and specify 'unsubscribe MIDRANGE-L' in the body of your message. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
