Open List of Jobs (QGYOLJOB) API -- MIDRANGE-L

Has anyone had a chance to play with the new (V4R1) Open List of Jobs 
(QGYOLJOB) API? I need to determine if any jobs are on a given jobq and 
this looks like the only option. How well does it perform when selecting 
only jobs in a single jobq? Any bad experiences?
