we are installing a new e-series AS/400. gorgeous machine. All muscle.

But the roadmap is pretty ragged right now. The mantra has been "follow
the road map". I can tell you that right now we have just finished three
days of setting up the machine. Tomorrow we hope to install the new PTFs
that came with it. The road map has been one disappointment after another.
We are telling ourselves it is because the new box has a partial-load of
the OS and that was not an option when the instructions were written, so
how could they have gotten the roadmap right?

We are doing a side-by-side install, nothing fancy, small box. We knew
this would be an adventure when a) there was no power cord with the box,
and b) when we got the cord it would not sit tightly in the UPS, so we
couldn't turn on the AS/400.

Still it looks like it will sizzle when it does fire off.
