There was an article written back in the B/C/D model days about an
almost universal late afternoon slowdown on systems. I turns out that
during the day each users PAG grew to a point of slowing the system down
and the recommendation was to sign off at lunch. This was partcularly
true for the system console where someone would do WRKACTJOB, WRKSPLF,
WRKJOBQ, WRKACTJOB, WRKSPLF, etc..... without ever doing an F3.
