I'm very new to the world of CL and RPG, but need to setup a menu where a user inputs a query range and the input is passed to a preset query I've written. You can run a command from the command line. You need to know the name of the library and the name of the query. type: RUNQRY and press F4. It will give you a list of choices. Fill them in. On the line that says RCDSLT(*No) change it to *YES. That should run your query. Make sure it is doing what you want, and then when the job is done, and you are at the command line again, use F9 and carefully copy down the command with parms that you see there. Thatt is the command to run the query. It can be typed in until someone shows you how to make a command, or adds it to a menu for you. Hope this helps. ---------------------------------------------------- Booth Martin Contract Programming, Inc. --------------------------------------------------- +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to "MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com". | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MAJORDOMO@midrange.com | and specify 'unsubscribe MIDRANGE-L' in the body of your message. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
