I have successfully installed Notes on several FSIOPs and IPCSs ... I have
also successfully assisted others via phone and e-mail to complete the
installation as well ...

It sounds like the process you are attempting is the original installation
method - it is ugly, but if you can get the stars to line up in your favor,
then it will work!   ;>

Fortunately, in May '97 IBM delivered an enhanced installation process that
will allow you to use some simple AS/400 commands with your 150's
underutilized CD-ROM ... The new process is described on the IBM AS/400 web
site at http://www.as400.ibm.com:81/lotus_notes/notes.htm ... You'll have
to ensure that you have all the required PTFs and you may need to download
some of the code from the web site, but I'm sure you'll have much greater
success with the enhanced process ...
