If you are using a modem such as Motorola UDS, remove the SST and leave the telephone number. Make sure that you leave the exact number of spaces within the quotes. If you delete SST, add 3 spaces to the right of the number (IBMs suggestion). The data area that is updated is QUSRSYS/QESTELE. ------------------------------------------ I remember fighting with this a few years ago too. Even RTFM didn't help with this one. If the above doesn't solve the problem, just call Motorola. I ended up doing that. They were very helpful, and had the problem resolved on the spot.
