Hi Jerry,
All of the pieces of Client Access are installable from the CD. The
following information is from the Client Access User's Guide, and tells you
which pieces require a license.

The following components require a Client Access license:

? PC5250 Display and Printer Emulator
? Data Transfer
? SNA Communications Support (NetSoft Router)

The following components do not require a Client Access license:

? Base support
? AS/400 Operations Navigator
? Graphical Access
? AFP Workbench Viewer
? AFP Printer Driver
? SCS Printer Driver
? Application Development Toolkit
? Additional languages

HTH,
Jeff

Subject: Question re V3R7 and CA/400

My info has it that V3R7 is shipped with a CA/400 CD that has all of CA/400
on it. Then I understand that the install pgm tells you that some of the
modules are licensed separately and some are part of OS/400. Can anyone
verify which pieces are licensed? I understand it to be the router,
display, printer, and file transfer which are licensed and all other pieces
are part of OS/400. Can you install all of these components off of the CD
Rom?

Thanks, Jerry
