I have just started using the IFS root file system on our AS/400, V3R2.
Our backup software is BRMS/400. The BRMS manual indicates that backups
of the root file system must be done in a restricted state. Does anyone
have any good ideas to back up the root file system, without implementing
 restricted state?

 TIA.
