BBS versus Mailing list -- MIDRANGE-L

Is there a Bulletin Board Service, with the accompanying threads, version   
of this mailing list?  I like to look this stuff up that way sometimes   
versus sending out a question.  Someone may have already asked the   
question that I've asked, and the person who generated the excellent   
response previously might have gotten tired of sending out the response   
everytime someone asks the same question.  Also, while I've noticed most   
people take the time to include the thread that they are responding to,   
when they send out a response, I like viewing threads on the BBS's.   
 Also, I find the categorizing of BBS's to be very useful.
