In previous reply forgot to mention that my PC was also on Ethernet LAN, but
AS/400 was on a tokenring.  An RS/6000 with both cards served as the bridge.
You may also want to check TELNET attributes.  I have INACTTIMO(0) and
TIMMRKTIMO(600).
On T/R line on AS/400 we also set MAXFRAME to 1480 for SSAP 'AA'.
