A friend suggested that I take out the Mwave card (i.e., MODEM) and use a 
real one, such as USRobotics or similar. Then, the Mwave IRQ allocation may 
be freed up. It worked in one of the black Aptiva's. And the Mwave is of no 
value to me, so I could bag that thing. I'll give that one a try when I get 
back to the office on Monday, then I'll let you know...
