The program also has INTENSIVE SQL against large Dean, My saves normally do not show any CPU utilization when doing a WRKACTJOB. Just look at the total at the top of the screen and you will notice. I have a 320 as well with v3r2 and I had a similiar stalling problem a couple times last week during the day. CPU lights were pegged as usual during monthend but there were at least two instances where my interactive display would just hang. One of the two times was on the console doing a WRKACTJOB. It took about 60 seconds to return anything. I checked QSYSOPR msgq and nothing. When the WRKACTJOB returned, it did not show any one job chewing things up. I have noticed that things would hang like this if a device receives an I/O problem but the problem gets reported to QSYSOPR. Batch was slow as "Christmas" and batch jobs seemed to run longer than normal. Especially queries. There was one that I had to kill Wednesday night after it sat active for 7+ hours. Granted some of the queries we have are pigs and take a while but not that long. It generated absolutely nothing for the report. As usual on the weekend after monthend, I performed a reclaim storage and IPL cycle. I currious to see if this problem gets revisited again this week. June's month end will fall on a week day. Just for the heck of it and if I remember, I'm going to perform an IPL and reclaim storage the weekend before and see if everything runs slow again. Danny Mc? --- Danny Mc?
