ILE review

I just want to make sure that I understand how ILE works.

1. When a program loads, all modules bound in that program are initialized
including storage for variables, ODPs, cursors, etc.

2. Links to any service programs referenced in the program are resolved and
those service programs are loaded.

3. All PAG area used by a program is released when the program is ended
with LR seton regardless of the activation group.

4. All PAG area used by a program without LR turned on can only be released
by the activation group ending (RCLRSC won't do it).

5. Program A is in the default activation group. Program B has a named
activation group. Both programs refer to Service Program C.  When Program A
calls Program B, what affect does this have on Service Program C?

6. Is it better to create small single purpose service programs or fewer
ones with many routines?

7. Is it more important to understand and use Activation Groups in a RISC
environment than in a CISC?
