The standard tape you should be using is a 2.5GB, not 2.0 GB. Two manufacturers I know of: 3M - Magnus 2.5 Sony - QD9250 These tapes provide 2.5GB uncompressed, and approximately 3.5GB with compression (hardware data compression is standard on the 436). You can't/shouldn't use any higher density tapes (eg. 3M Magnus 5.0) as these are intended for different drives. -- ...Neil Palmer AS/400~~~~~ ...Technical Specialist ____________ ___ ~ ...NxTrend Technology - Canada |OOOOOOOOOO| ________ o|__||= ...Markham, Ontario, Canada |__________|_|______|_|______) ...Phone: (905) 731-9000 x238 oo oo oo oo OOOo=o\ ...e-mail: neil@systemetrix.ca ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * This is the Midrange System Mailing List!
