if the allegations are indeed false and can be proven to be so in a court of law, and you think it is worth the years of effort and money to pursue action, then proceed.
I would fall on the side of those who say chock it up as one bad ding we all have to take every 6 months or so and move on. if you're a righteous candidate, the right opportunity will come to you.
