thanks for the tip gene but this looks like the s/38 appendix with a few changes, and well worth having :-]

Algorithm is: the ODT number is an index into the ODT array of 4-byte
elements.

FYI: the MI Reference in the Information Center (under "MI Topics -->
Program Object Specifications") contains a complete layout and explanation
of every bit and byte in the ODT.
