I don't see the text in question. 

Perhaps it's nothing more than warnings from the tool IBM uses to convert their 
internal versions on the manuals (which are of course - and very obviously - in 
SGML) to a PDF format - but without seeing it in context (where online is the 
PDF?) I'm only guessing.
