I've always thought the limit for names in an MI program to be about 30 but checking some of my includes shows I've used longer names for structure sub-fields and I routinely use 20-character labels. I tested the limits and names can be up to 48 characters (at 440 which is what I happened to be signed on). Anything longer than that gives CPD6405 and fails the compile.
