The best reference I ever found for it was the S/36 Functions Reference Manual.
It had a long section (or chapter?) discussing WP Mode.  I *might* still have a
copy of the manual packed away somewhere, but it wouldn't be easy to find.

It is possible the 400's controller has a superset of the WP commands
implemented for DW/36.  But the section would at least explain the basic process
behind WP mode.

Remember that WP mode and DP mode don't mix.  You can't use WP mode to add nicer
continued entry fields to an existing display format.  WP mode would be used for
a replacement word processor, or perhaps a replacement for SEU, or whatever.
