Harry,

There is a free TIFFLIB available written in C that can be easily
ported to the AS/400.

Go to your search engine of choice and search for TIFFLIB and Sam
Leffler (the author).

Not sure why you say "Only MI can get the tiff images easily". The
TIFF format supports several different compression algorithms and both
big and small endian. Re coding these all in MI just cant be easy.

Leif Yes,
I am reading a tiff file and writing to an userascii printer file
formated
for a hp printer. Since the Tiff can be stored several different ways,
I
thought somebody has done it in MI. Only MI can get the tiff images
easily. I am about 90% finished, but some of the routines must be
easier
than the ones I have created.

I have to read the tiff and break it apart, then format the output in
the
PCL language.
Harry
