Leif, Looks like QCLSPGAS stores the data passed to it starting at offset 80 of the PGAS. So when I set a spcptr to the PGAS to access the stored data, I have to add 80 to the SETSPPFP resulting spcptr. > What do you use the spcptr to the PGAS for? > I am writing a programming language for the iSeries. My interactive debugger accesses the PGAS for all sorts of info re the code and variables of the pgm being debugged. Lately, I have been writing functions that build a 5250 data stream on the fly to put a msg box or prompt box on the screen. These functions access the PGAS to retrieve info on pgm variables to be displayed, such as the prompt text and allowed values of the variable. -Steve
