 >> Could you elaborate on this. C and C++ comes with the v5 base system?

Yes - although not part of base. Part of the new packaging for the App Dev
tools is to put all current compilers (RPG, COBOL, C, C++ - the C and C++
are brand new compilers) green screen tools (PDM, SEU, etc.) and
workstation tools (Code/400, VARPG, VAJava, WebSphere Studio, Webfacing,
etc.) ALL in one package. If you are on subscription and have RPG and PDM
on your system you will get all this for free I believe.

They are supposed to be making the package available on V4R5 - but I can't
find out if this is just the workstation tools (which was what I originally
believed to be true) or if it is the whole package as IBM's web site
implies. If I can get an answer at COMMON next week I'll post it here.
