Rich,
Greg nailed it for you. This is exactly how we extract the authorities for SOX purposes.
We also have personal menus & group jobs, but those are disappearing as more users migrate to Browser.
I highly recommend using a test USER account to make sure that security works as you think it does.
Not having objects locked down or having personal menus can cause unexpected results - especially since MAPICS security is kludgy.
You can also use query to export the data to a file that you can push or pull to another system, so perhaps that can help you achieve your goal?
You can also put it in the AS400 scheduler to fully automate or run via remote execution.

Rich,
We create a file as part of our SOX audit.
Try this ... see if it gives you something useful:
create a query
file 1 - MZBRRES2
file 2 - TSKDEFL0
2=Matched records from primary file
BRSKXX EQ TASKTS
BRBTXX EQ SUBTTS
choose fields - we use
Seq Field Text
10 T01.BRBUCD Userid
20 T02.APLATS Application abbreviation
30 T02.TSTYTS Task type
40 T01.BRSKXX Task ID
50 T01.BRBTXX Sub task ID
60 T02.TSDSTS Task description
Sort results - we use
Sort
Prty A/D Field Text
10 A T01.BRBUCD Userid
20 A T02.APLATS Application abbreviation
30 A T01.BRBTXX Sub task ID
40 A T01.BRSKXX Task ID
Break on userid
Break Sort
Level Prty Field Text
1 10 T01.BRBUCD Userid
Good luck,
Greg

Greg,
Please forgive my ineptness where Mapics is concerned. What I'm task at doing is producing a file that contains a specific users authorized menus and all authorized options on that menu(s). Are you telling me that Cross Apps/Maintenance-Change/Security Maintenance/Generate Reports capable of doing this (producing a file rather than a report)? If not, can you give me a little guidance as to which files I should be looking at?
Thanks.
Warmest Regards,
Richard Reeve

Why not use Cross Apps/Maintenance-Change/Security Maintenance/Generate Reports Available in XAR4 --- should be in later versions too.

All,
I have been tasked with writing a connector to list the menus/options that each user within Mapics is authorized to. Can anyone point me in the right direction as far as which files to use to retrieve this information?
Thanks so much.
Warmest Regards,
Richard Reeve
