Jim--- The database is the database, it's not going anyplace until its
removed from the system.

I've received conflicting responses on this question so I thought I'd pose
it the group...

Our company anticipates moving to a different ERP software solution within
the next year. My question is after the MAPICS software license keys
expire and the modules themselves become inaccessible, will the data files
still be accessible through the AS/400 Query utility? The correct answer
to this will determine how much historical data we port to the new
application suite. If we would still have access to the data files for
data lookup only, we will probably just migrate current year history.

An INFOR rep has indicated that the data files would not be accessible
after the keys expire. Is that a true statement?

Jim
