1. Why did you change the quantity from 250 to 242 instead of just canceling the order/line item. If this line item is complete it should not be in the mbcdrep file. Unless the order has other line items open, which is probably the case. When you change the quantity to match was has been shipped the status changes on the release and line item, but the order/line item doesn't remove from the open files. Can you delete a line item on an order after it has had partial shipment when there are still other open line items on the order?
2. Why do we have to run the 'audit allocation' and 'audit location' and 'audit on order' at all? Shouldn't XA do this automatically when needed? Every once in a while we have a problem that shows up and this fixes it. It is very frustating to have to tell users do this and it will fix the problem without knowing the why.
3. I can't make it to the flogging, can you record it and put it on YouTube?

My apologies to this august list.
It was NOT a blanket line, just a regular CO line item. Quantity was originally 250, we shipped 242, reduced the order qty to 242 and cancelled the B/O. We were getting a planned order for the 8 on "backorder."
Last night I ran the 'audit allocation' and 'audit location' and 'audit on order' and then re-ran MRP and it seems to be calculating planned orders correctly now, but I still show 8 on back order in the CO line view in field "Backorder quantity" cdz902.
Thoughts?
Thanks and sorry for the misleading information; I will have my planner publicly flog me at high noon today.
Cheers!
