Yes, we do use the Oper where 1st used, and yes again, it is accurate. We
just completed a project that analyzed that type of thing.
Also, we do not use the material in other operations.
Thanx,

Re: [MAPICS-L] JIT tie in to MRP
Nick, do you use the operation where 1st used field (OPWFU) in your
product
structure, and is it accurate? Is the stuff called out at multiple
operations?

Hello everyone,
We are at MAPICS XAR6 and our OS is V4R5.
What we would like to do is have MRP tell us when to schedule our material
over a period of time, phased, instead of all at once. Something like
JIT. We have many long running, weeks to months, jobs and MRP tells us to
have all of the material ready when we start the job, which isn't
feasable.
Has anybody done anything like this?
Vendor responses welcome.
Thanx,
Nick
