Jeff,

We installed once and then moved the application into the "All Users"
directory. From there all the users could access the application. We did
not know the "trick" that Claude Stoltz detailed, but I would definitely
recommend following his advice. Each time we updated the client level
(which seems to be every week these days), each user would have to download
the 90+MB Power-Link client. This could take a couple of minutes so I would
follow Claude's advice.

David.
Did you have to install the client for each user ID individually or
were you able to install as administrator and make available for all
users. We are currently installing for each user, but would like to do
1 install and share the app if possible.

Chris,

We deployed approximately 60 users over a T-1 line connected to a
Microsoft
terminal server farm. The connection and response time of Power-Link
was
essentially the same as those who were on the local network with the
host
iSeries. We also used the terminal servers to establish green screen
sessions. We had no problems with this connection. The functionality
of
being able to download out of Power-Link to Excel on the local machine
(not
the terminal server) worked with no problems. The terminal servers we
used
were powerful machines with dual processors, lots of RAM (8GB as I
remember)
and plenty of disk space. We employed a virtual server with load
balancing
to keep the machines in the farm evenly loaded.
