I have been asked by our management to overhaul our commissions system in COM. We have not touched this area in user exists since converting to XA 4 in 1997. We are currently at XA 7.7 but not using CSM at this time due to customization in user exits in COM for calculating ATP. Specific questions are as follows. 1. Has anyone does this recently? if so, what drove the request. 2. Did you look at 3rd party applications that are integrated with COM ? Are there any 3rd party apps that work without customization. 3. If you converted from COM to CSM, were you able to use any advanced functionality in CSM to address your old issues with commissions and that kept you from needing a 3rd party product? 4. Was providing Commission Reports to Sales Reps a problem and where those reports user friendly that sales reps could manipulate and analyze without additional IT resources?
