To All: I recently saw a request for information on BI softwares, so here are some of my comments. A couple of years ago we to were in the market for a BI software solution. After much searching and comparing BI offerings we found that costs and features were wide spread. We defined our requirements for a BI solution to be: 1. Reasonably Priced (Unlimited Users to meet Future growth) 2. Integrates with Mapics 3. Already have the Data Cubes, Data Modules or InSet available for Mapics files (Data Warehouse files already defined and available) 4. Able to do BI on all aspects of Mapics (Sales, Purchases, Inventory, Accounting etc) 5. Easy to learn 6. Portable 7. Support We looked at almost all BI softwares and opted for the Jacana InTuator offering because of its cost, integration to Mapics, InSets already available, covers all business areas, was easy to learn because is uses Microsoft Excel Pivot Tables, and was portable. Jacana InTuator is not an OLAP product but as a starter and to introduce BI to our users it is more then adequate.
