Hi Al, One of the features of Info WorkPlace (IWP) is that it understands the 1:many relationships. If you build a subset (a definition of the files and links) that starts from the ITEMBL and link in the CODATAN as a 1:many (multiple CO's per item), you will only get one On Hand Balance quantity. The On Hand Balance can also be totaled without being repeated for each CO. Other files, such as ITEMASA can be added as a 1:1 link (one item master per item balance). When you get tired of Query's limitations, that is when IWP can really shine. It has many powerful capabilities for data retrieval, report layout, and calculations. Hi group: I'm preparing an Inventory Query Report for Finish Goods that shows in a very simplified way: 1. Item Number, from ITEMASA; 2. Quantity On Hand, from ITEMBL; and 3. Customer Order Number related to that Item Number, from CODATAN. If a given Finish Goods Item Number has more than one Customer Order opened against it, there is a problem. For example, if there's three (3) Customer Orders related to one (1) Item Number, the Report prints three records (one for each Customer Order), thereby repeating the Quantity On Hand data. Is there a Query trick I can use to show only a single Quantity On Hand for each Item Number along with the multiple Customer Order Numbers within the same Report? I hope my explanation above make sense. :-) I look forward to your comments.
