No, I'm talking about when you authorize the user to use a personal menu option
- AMZM38. If you drill down far enough, you'll see what I mean. You'll also
see it in the reports from AMZM38. Looks like this:
-------User-------
Access Authorized Task ID Type App Locked
Y Y AME SEC 03 GRP PDM Y
Inquiry
Y Y AMEM0201 INQ PDM Y
Display Item Detail
Y Y AMEM0202 INQ PDM Y
Product Structure Retrievals
Y Y AMEM0203 INQ PDM Y
Oh, and believe me I know about no error checking for personal menu options! I
was burned by it too many times until I developed a query that joins MNTXFILE
to a user profiles file.

I assume you're talking about ADD OR CHANGE MENU OPTIONS AMZSC2 ??
>From CAS:
3. Maintenance/Change >>
7. Personal Menu Maintenance >>
2. Add or Change Menu Options
USER TO BE AUTHORIZED ------
ENTER APPLICATION NAME -----
You are asking what is meant by: KEY "Y" TO SELECT MENU OPTION ??
It will ADD the option to the person's personal menu.
CAUTION: There is NO error checking on the user name, CAS will blindly
add the record to the MNTXFILE file.

[MAPICS-L] Access in CAS security
What does access "Y" mean, with respect to CAS security? That a user has
the task in his menu? We're using personal menus.
