Greg,

We have created an initial menu for our users. When they sign on to the
400 they have a menu screen that lets them choose which environment they
want to go to. They just select the option number (this is remembered in
a DTAARA so if they always use the same option they can just hit enter).
We have 5 live environments, 3 language overlays (French, German and
Czech), and test versions of all, so it seemed the only way to solve the
problem.

Kind regards,

David.

Subject: [MAPICS-L] How do you get to a MAPICS test environment without
acommand line?

SOX has locked us down so tight a normal user can't get to the test
environment. Upon signon the users are sent straight into the
production environment and they no longer have command line access.

We experimented with putting an option on the group job menu but that
does some odd things. It does get them to the test environment but
there may be a better way to do this.

Any suggestions,

Thanks,
Greg
