Peter,

The below is correct, sorry I assumed you had REP installed. If you
check the field PRODL in SLDATA the it should be 0 for a stock location,
and 1 for a line location.
If you have not got REP installed then I would check this field and see
if it is 0 in all cases. I guess you could change the value with DFU and
then see if it is OK....

David.

Subject: Re: [MAPICS-L] 9168 CANNOT CHANGE - PRODUCTION LINE LOCATION
(Peter Vidal) from Mike Ellis /ISI

Peter,

The previous post is pointing you in the right direction. The message
is
telling you that the location in which quanties are being updated is a
line location. That means a stocking location at a production line
controlled by the Repetitive application. There is a flag available
when a location is created that indicates if it is a stocking or a line
location. But the line location choice should only be available if
REP
is installed and interfacing. If locations were created some other way
(outside of MAPICS) or if there were a bug that permitted them to be
created incorrectly, then MAPICS may think those locations belong to REP
even if REP is not installed. If REP were installed, there would be
such a function key. Without it, I'd suggest a call to the hotline to
get help
on how to correct it properly. Should be a simple switch on the
SLDATA
record.
Hope that helps.
