Hi Ed, We don't sell to W@@-Mart and are release 4 but we process about 50-100 EDI orders a day. The EDI software handles this easily. Where your company is going to have extra work is in the shipping department. Those truck load shipments to a distribution center are much easier than many small shipments going all over the place. Plus I'm sure each shipment needs an ASN and probably a PO ACK. Those hopefully are automatically sent by your system. P.S. I like my lever action 45-70 Marlin! We have recently been told by a customer (W@@-Mart) that we will need to ship directly to stores instead of to distribution centers! Obviously, the volume of orders and associated transactions will increase tremendously - probably from one order per month to several hundred per day! On the bright side, we have a 72 hour window from order receipt to product shipment before the order is cancelled. I'm sure we're not the only manufacturer going through this and I hope to hear those success stories. Thanks in advance! Also, how is anyone in this situation handling the EDI portion of the transactions? Any help or direction is greatly appreciated.
