RE: MAPICS Purchasing History

I believe there was a company called MARCAM also in the mix. Not sure exactly 
where the fit
into the time line but if I'm not mistaken MARCAM was a seperate entity.
 
As best as I can remember, which is slipping faster each year.

        I'm trying to fill in the historical timeline for the MAPICS Purchasing 
application. I know that it was originally written by GMD, and became part of 
MAPICS in 1984. But what happened to GMD? Were they acquired? Do they still 
exist today? When did IBM (or whomever) acquire the Purchasing "intellectual 
property" (source code)?
