The best news I heard is that Phil Joseph is in charge of Development and that MAPICS er.. Infor purchased Paragon Systems. This is very, very exciting as they have the technology to bring everything together that makes sense. The second best piece of news is that the financial systems are a go in the power link architecture. Big reason for installed accounts like me to get ready to move to R7+... I think I can sum it up in one word - ENTHUSIASM! It's something we haven't seen in a while, and it was pretty obvious from the top on down. I know a few people commented that there was just a lot of talk - nothing substantive. But we have to remember that the acquisition just took place and it will take a bit of time for things to kick in. My conversations with various affiliates, Infor employees and executives left me feeling very optimistic. So much so that in the summary I'm writing for our management team I feel compelled to retract my previous statements about the future of MAPICS and recommit to improving & expanding our ERP system. I even found myself interested in the new IBM I5, and THAT really has me surprised! Did I mention that enthusiasm was contagious? I really hope next year's event is in Vegas - baby! _______________________________________________ This is the MAPICS ERP System Discussion (MAPICS-L) mailing list To post a message email: MAPICS-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/mapics-l or email: MAPICS-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/mapics-l.
