The system will not remove anything automatically. The WRKLICINF was the option I was talking about. As you should have noted when you work with the licensed users it displays the date last used. If you have the MAPICS environment unlocked you may have some users taking keys that got into the MAPICS main menu by mistake. You may want to clean up users that have not accessed their key in the last few months. As long as the user is not actively signed into MAPICS there is no harm in releasing their key. -----Original Message----- From: Tim.Bertnick@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:Tim.Bertnick@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Monday, January 10, 2005 8:54 AM To: MAPICS ERP System Discussion Subject: Re: User licenses Did you do a WRKLICINF command on your MAPICS license & then option number 8? - we found on our system several 'obsolete' registered users that we removed (terminated employees, users whose names changed, etc) - for some reason, the system did not remove them automatically (we are at XA 5.5) - Tim Bertnick. _______________________________________________ This is the MAPICS ERP System Discussion (MAPICS-L) mailing list To post a message email: MAPICS-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/mapics-l or email: MAPICS-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/mapics-l.
