Library list changes in MAPICS still need dedicated mode, well at least in R5 anyway. It's really not that difficult to create a copy of your production environment for testing purposes. -Jimmy -----Original Message----- From: mapics-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:mapics-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of sjones@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Wednesday, December 29, 2004 4:55 PM To: MAPICS ERP System Discussion Subject: Re: Discussion on Applying PTFs Eric: Yes you can do that. Have AMAPTFx higher in the library list than AMALIBx. Where it gets tricky is when MAPICS changes a file that goes with the PTF/PCM. If you want to back out the PTF/PCM, you will need to get the file back to the correct level as well. Doing that in a production environment, well.... May the Force be with you..... The Shipping WorkBench is a perfect example of a PCM that once loaded MAPICS said you could not go back. That is because they changed some files when that PCM loaded. In theroy you could go back by doing a restore of the libraries, but if loaded into a production environment that is not an option. Is MAPICS calling them PTF's or still PCM's?
