Kitting will handle that...... If you don't like how MAPICS handles kitting, we wrote our own years ago prior to MAPICS supporting kitting, and it still works. I can provide details (lots of them) if you want on how we do kitting outside of MAPICS. Probably should be off-line - it's a somewhat lengthy document, but it works very well. We have a product that consists of two parts in boxes call them Part A and Part B. We buy these from two different vendors and they come to us each packed in its own box. Sales wants to be able to Sell the two parts as Part C in our catalog, however Part B may also a some point be sold as Part B. Is there a way in MAPICS to be able to Order Part C but have the pick lists show Part A and Part B, but the order show Part C. This is because if we EDI the ASNs and Invoices the Item must be Part C as that is what the customer ordered. This will also apply to costs and inventory issues. Thanks in advance Bob Anderson EDI Coordinator Kent Watersports banderson@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx 419.929.7021 x315 Fax 419.929.1380 _______________________________________________ This is the MAPICS ERP System Discussion (MAPICS-L) mailing list To post a message email: MAPICS-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/mapics-l or email: MAPICS-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/mapics-l.
